Visa Invests in Stablecoin Startup BVNK to Bolster Crypto Payments
Visa has deepened its commitment to digital asset innovation with a strategic investment in BVNK, a London-based stablecoin infrastructure startup. The move, announced on May 7, signals the payments giant’s intent to bridge traditional finance with blockchain-based solutions.
BVNK framed the deal as more than mere funding, suggesting a broader collaboration with Visa Ventures, the corporate investment arm. "Partnering with Visa—the original payments innovator—is incredibly exciting," said CEO Jesse Hemson-Struthers. The alliance combines Visa’s global payment network with BVNK’s stablecoin technology, potentially accelerating mainstream crypto adoption.
